Shankari Chandran

Shankari Chandran is a Tamil-Australian lawyer who was raised on Ngunnawal Country and now lives and raises her four children on Darug Country. She is the author of three books: Song of the Sun God (republished by Ultimo Press, 2022), Chai Time at Cinnamon Gardens (Ultimo Press, 2022) and The Barrier (Pan Macmillan Australia, 2017). Her work has been longlisted for the International Dublin Literary Award (2019) and shortlisted for the Fairway National Literary Award (2018) and the Norma K Hemming Award for Speculative Fiction (2018). Shankari is the deputy chair of WritingNSW.
