Sisonke Msimang

Sisonke Msimang is an experienced public speaker, director and storyteller based in Perth. She is the author of Always Another Country: A memoir of exile and home and The Resurrection of Winnie Mandela. Sisonke has written for a range of international publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian and Al Jazeera. She has held fellowships at Yale University, the Aspen Institute, the Ballagio Centre and the WISER Institute. Sisonke is the Head of Storytelling at the Centre for Stories and served as the Curator for Perth Festival’s Literature and Ideas program from 2020 – 2023.
