Socorro C. Cifuentes studied Bachelor of Visual Arts at the UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico). She makes remix videos that explore the relationship between media art practice and social movements in Latin America. She holds a Master of Philosophy from Western Sydney University. Her thesis “Rearguard Remix: a practice of political listening” explores the use of video remix as a process of creating relations among different knowledge systems.
